5 December 2008. Robert Schulz
of
We The People Foundation, headquartered in Queensbury, NY, just
published an
Open
Letter as a paid advertisement in the Chicago Tribune on 1 and 3
December 2008 (see attached). The letter demands that Obama present
Schulz with a
certificate of live birth and other documents proving "natural born
citizen" status. It seeks to have Obama deliver the documents to Schulz
at the National Press Club on 8 December 2008.
Schulz asserts that Obama does not have natural-born-US-citizen status,
his reasoning constituting some of these:
- the fact that Obama's alleged father did not have US Citizen
status, that his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, had the legal status of
"minor" at the alleged time she gave alleged birth to Obama, and
that she therefore could not lawfully confer citizenship by virtue
of giving birth
- the non-existence of credible proof that Dunham actually gave
birth to Obama - for all the world knows, she could have "found"
baby Obama and then kept and claimed him as her own baby,
- testimony from his own family members who witnessed Obama's
birth in Kenya (see affidavits of Bishop
Ron McRae and Kweli
Shuhubia),
-
school records in Indonesia showed that that Barack Obama, aka
Barry Soeto (and Barry Dunham) became a naturalized citizen of
Indonesia in 1965.
- the obvious forgery the birth
certificate Obama provided as proof of his natural-born US
citizenship.
Pennsylvania attorney
Phil
Berg published a similar challenge in a Washington Post ad on
Monday, 17 November 2008, subsequent to the lawsuit he has taken to the
Supreme Court on the issue.
A gaggle of
YouTube videos have shown proof that Obama's birth certificate,
publicized by the
Daily
Kos on 12 June 2008, constitutes a forgery. World Net Daily has
published a plethora of
articles raising questions about the constitutionality of allowing
Obama to become President.
According to the St. Petersburg Times (Florida)
PolitiFact web site, a Hawaiian official said the birth certificate
is legitimate, but offered no vault certificate of live birth to prove
it. Even so, what if, back in 1961, a week or so after baby Obama's
birth, his mother had found baby Obama in Africa, and then traveled from
Africa to Hawaii with the baby? She could have claimed that she gave
birth at home and not in a hospital? Having no DNA tests to prove
Dunham did not give birth to baby Obama, the State of Hawaii would have
taken her at her word and issued legitimate-looking but phony
certificate. Only a certificate by the physician who attended the live
birth of Obama in a Hawaii hospital could provide credible evidence the
birth occurred in Hawaii. Without it, the courts would have to give
credence to the eye-witness testimony of Obama's aunt and grandmother,
if the courts could get them to the witness stand. A birth certificate
does not constitute conclusive proof of either Obama's parentage or his
time or place of birth.
MSNBC's News entertainment host Keith Olberman reported on
Countdown last night (4 December) that numerous people have
challenged Obama's citizenship in lawsuits. Olberman alleged the
challenges "crap." That comes as no surprise, given the fervor with
which he promoted Obama for President (and portrayed McCain and Palin as
a feckless, insincere buffoons) during the recent popular vote campaign.
He did the same on
24 October 2008 when he denounced WorldnetDaily and Rush Limbaugh
for questioning the legitimacy of Obama's candidacy:
Obviously, the challenges have constitutionally deadly-serious merit.
However, the mainstream media and the courts seem determined to ignore
the Constitution and let a possible usurper slide into the highest
office in the nation. This becomes apparent from the fact that Schulz
and Berg had to spend a fortune to buy ads in newspapers because the
papers refused to give the issue proper treatment. The media and courts
should demand proof of Obama's U.S. citizenship and a proper vetting of
the testimonies of Obama's auntie and granny who reported that they
watched his birth in Kenya first-hand.
Justice David Souter granted a Writ of Certiorari for Philip Berg's
lawsuit, giving Obama till 1 December 2008 to respond, allowing an extra
week for mail delivery of the response. Obama seems to have ignored the
response deadline. The justices will confer about the proof of
citizenship on 10 December 2008. They might issue an order at that
time, and they might just let Obama slide.
World Net Daily reported yesterday that the
People of America have sent
the Supreme Court over
60,000
letters demanding proof of Obama's citizenship. WND urged all
people to write to the Supremes NOW, while time remains for the court to
act on numerous lawsuits at or heading to the court on the issue. WND
publisher Joseph Farah made an
on-line petition available through which Americans can demand
Obama's accountability for proof of natural-born US Citizen status. The
web page shows that over 161,200 people have joined the petition.
Farah's suggested letter contains the following text:
Dear Associate Justice ______:
If the Constitution doesn't mean precisely what it says, then
America is no longer a nation under the rule of law.
A
nation no longer under the rule of law is, by definition, under the
rule of men.
Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution clearly stipulates "No
person except a natural born Citizen" shall be eligible to serve as
president of the United States. That statement has clear meaning,
and the Supreme Court of the United States is one of the controlling
legal authorities in ensuring that the Constitution is enforced –
even if doing so may prove awkward.
With the Electoral College set to make its determination Dec. 15
that Barack Hussein Obama Jr. be the next president of the United
States, the Supreme Court is holding a conference Friday to review a
case challenging his eligibility for the office based on Article 2,
Section 1.
I
urge you to take this matter most seriously – and judge it only on
the clear, unambiguous words of the Constitution: A president must,
at the very least, be a "natural born citizen" of the United States.
If you agree that this clear constitutional requirement still
matters, the Supreme Court must use its authority to establish,
beyond any shadow of a doubt, that Barack Hussein Obama Jr.
qualifies for the office under that standard.
There is grave, widespread and rapidly growing concern throughout
the American public that this constitutional requirement is being
overlooked and enforcement neglected by state and federal election
authorities. It's up to the Supreme Court to dispel all doubt that
America's next president is truly a natural born citizen of the
United States.
I
urge you to honor the Constitution in this matter and uphold the
public trust.
Sincerely,

Let us suppose the WND campaign does not work and the Supremes let Obama
get closer to the White House without qualifying as President. And let
us suppose the hue and cry of the public raises sufficient alarm over
Obama's illegitimacy as President. Well, the states' electors in
electoral college might then throw their votes to McCain, in defiance of
the popular vote that gave Obama the election. They will in effect
thereby do the Supreme Court's job, and justice might in some measure
prevail.
Or will it not? Many people believe Obama eminently qualified for the
presidency, and many more see him as a breath of fresh air that might
somehow restore our nation's lawmakers, courts, and executives to
constitutionality. Many see him as a man of the people who will bring
needed change. And I know of few people who actually believe McCain's
claim that he would
bring that change through his maverick ways. Maybe Obama's presidency
will constitute a blessing to the land (yes, I believe it will happen,
in spite of all the reasons it shouldn't) and McCain's presidency would
constitute a bane. In that case, if McCain takes the White House, then
America will lose in the end, in spite of all that hope in the efficacy
of Obama's portended changes.
On the other hand, look at the commonsense reasoning behind the
constitution's requirement that the President have natural-born
citizenship. A foreign-born person has natural allegiances to a
homeland, tribe, or nation that can put irresistible and enormous ethics
pressure on the person to do wrong. Such a foreigner can become
schooled to use subterfuge to gain power and position, having the
ulterior motive of serving the homeland or tribe.
In Obama's case, his father had Arab ancestry, and Arabs today
constitute the biggest slavemasters in Africa. Obama received schooling
in Islam as a child. As an adult in the Chicago area, he spent 20 years
at the feet of a black preacher, "Reverend Wright," who routinely
reviled America and white people from his pulpit. Obama did not disavow
the preacher's sentiments till the issue became one of dispute in his
political campaign. Obama wrote in a book that he would give allegiance
to Islam (over America) if he had to make that choice. And he spent
many years in association with admitted anti-American terrorist Bill
Ayers. Most Americans know that Islamic fundamentalists (many of whom
were or are terrorists, even back to the days of the Barbary Coast
pirates) and Communist terrorists have blighted US history (remember the
Cold War).
So we see that concern's over Obama's ancestry and loyalty should occupy
our thoughts. Frankly, I see no reason to "take a chance" on such a man
as President of the United States. Obviously such reasoning did not
dent the consciences of those who voted for him as President. Just as
obviously, many people voted for him as a way of voting
against John
McCain and Sarah Palin, to get even with Republicans for the present,
tragic mess of our economy, the protracted war in Iraq, not terminating
the threat of Al Quaeda, and helping proponents of the oil industry to
enslave Americans to enormous fuel prices. Unfortunately, Obama, in
spite of his promises, will probably do little to fix any of the messes
like illegal immigration (floods of Mexicans invading the USA), the
valueless US Dollar, the lack of a precious-metals-based currency, and
the lack of national emphasis on hydrogen-from-water technology, and
insane no-win wars in foreign lands.
Bottom line, ALL US Citizens should all scream to their legislators,
their presidency electors, the courts, blogs, mailing lists, and the
news media about the outrageous possibility of a
non-natural-born-US-citizen becoming President. It will happen unless
Americans take to the streets, telephone, and mail against it. And
without adherence to our Constitution, our nation's leaders will become
ever more lawless, leading us straight and deep into the voracious jaws
of tyranny.
