I share information
Language is the limit of our world, of that of which we are conscious.
We learn thru language; books, movies. If you can get a book, or movie - you can learn from it.
If you can't find the book or can't read it - like it is in a different language or different format then you know how to read.
then you can't get the knowledge and benefit from that book, or that information.
Information is held in language: - French, German, or in media: books, audio tapes, or video.
Media can be kept in digital files in different formats: like vob, avi, jpg, doc, txt, rtf, mp3, wma, etc.
Each different file type requires a driver or interpreter to read the codes in that file.
In a MS word document, it may have codes for bold text, red type, margins, font size etc.
Unless you have the program or a MS word reader, you would not understand what are the words & codes in the file.
Similarly audio and video are stored in coded files. You have to have the codex, or code, or a translator to read the file so you can understand it. Some programs, or applications can only read files, others can both read & write or edit or change the files.
Devices can read, play, watch and sometimes also change files.
You can keep all these types of digital files on a computer hard rive, or thumb drive or CD/ DVD disc, etc.
You can search for a file, to view, copy, print or move it to another devices, like to or from a thumb drive from your computer.
Digital files can hold information on taxes, law, history, medical cures, suppressed technologies, and much more.
They can have that material as articles, books, audio recordings, photos, or even video presentations, or slide shows.

Many people confuse all these separate devices/ media:
- digital storage (on chips or media like CD or DVD), or on media or mp3 players,
- file types: Video: VOB, AVI, WMV, ... Audio: mp3, WMA, wav, Documents: doc, txt, rtf, and more.
You can put data, books, photos, audios on a CD or DVD disc. The disc is not just for video. But other content (data, photos) cannot be read on a DVD player, but they MAY be read on a computer DVD disc drive.
I explain these ideas at L = Lessons https://www.abodia.com/l/tc
Total Commander is a simple way to find, view, copy or move any file from any place to another place, within your hard drive or out to & from media or even medial players, tablets, androids and phones or their chips.

Another great file management program is Index Your Files, both free from internet.
Below is photo of CD/ DVD, thumb drives, power outlet to charge things with USB cable.
Media and or mp3 player, USB cable (they have several different connections).
The USB cable to your computer are the same physical connection but there are many different heads or connections at the other end of the cable to various devices: mp3 players, tablets, card readers or chips.
The cable can carry the signal only or it can supply power or be used to charge a device like an mp3 player.
You can charge from a wall electrical outlet or by connection to a USB port on a computer.
